Description

Product Name: Buying Vintage Wilson/Jack Kramer Autograph Wooden Tennis Racquet
Jack Kramer was an American tennis player of the 1940's & '50's. A collaboration b/w Kramer & Wilson Sporting Goods led to the Jack Kramer Autograph, a wooden tennis racket featuring all ash laminated construction. The racquet added power to a player's game & quickly became one of the top-selling racquets of all time. It was used by John McEnroe, buying Tracy Austin, Arthur Ashe, Billie Jean King, & many others on its way to winning more Grand Slams than any other racquet of its time. r The Autograph presented here (with 3-pointed crown) appears to date from the 60s, when it retailed for around $40-50. Size: 27” x 9”. Markings: Wilson/The Jack Kramer Autograph/Speed Flex Fibre Face/W/Made in U.S.A./Endorsed by Jack Kramer for Championship Play/Medium 4-5/8. r This racquet seems to be in like-new condition—but then, I don't play tennis. *smile* Please study the pix carefully. The net guard's in place, & there's plastic still attached. [Note that two of the wingnuts are broken.].
