Mavis's Beehive buying

buying The 1950s and 1960s marked the acme of the beehive hairstyle, possibly pioneered by actress Elsa Lanchester in The Bride of Frankenstein, 1935. Far be it for me to delve too much into ladies' hair trends, but our friend Mavis truly and literally epitomizes the beehive. Where else would the queen bee hold court on her throne and all of the honey be stored? Where else would the bees use balloons, parachutes and helicopters in their busy bee busyness?
