This is the 1926 revision of the Famous White House Cook Book in very nice condition considering it's age! Book has several photographic picture plates/ Illustrations of food and the White House as well as a portrait of the reigning First Lady. Inside the inner cover is a handwritten name and address of a previous owner from Denver, Colorado dated 1927. "The White House Cook Book was a comprehensive cyclopedia of information for the home, containing cooking, toilet and household recipes, menus, table etiquette, care of the sick, health suggestions, facts worth knowing, etc" At the back is a mini advertising catalog, kinda cool, lots of old ads! ( buying also from Colorado) Condition: In very nice condition for it's age! But it does have FLAWS: Hardcover in fair condition. Front and back hinges are cracking.spine is torn in two places, cover is chipped, faded, and soiled. Decorative endpapers. Faded speckled page edges. Clean text throughout. This is a large book approx 10”x 7”.
