A Great buying Blue Heron is Taking a Rest on a Sand Dune--Framed Original Miniature Fine Art Painting

“RESPITE” shows a Great Blue Heron taking a rest on a sand dune. This original fine art miniature painting, measuring only 3 X 3 inches, is painted in opaque watercolors (gouache) and framed for hanging, (see pictured example of backing); it can also be displayed on a small easel-back stand. The outside frame measurement is 6-1/4 X 6-1/4 inches; the frame is wood with glass protection.

Miniature artwork utilizes delicate and painstaking technique that withstands magnification. There are as many brushstrokes on a miniature painting as one that is painted on a much larger scale and therefore takes many hours to paint. I personally use a magnifier when painting the small details.
