1920s-1930s Black Leather Suitcase, Distressed Leather Luggage, Travel Case, Old Leather Bag, buying Decor and Prop Luggage

Here's a cool circa 1920s-1930s semi-rigid leather suitcase with a nice patina ready for decor or prop use. The bag measures 24" X 13.5" X buying 7", has a steel frame covered with thick, black pebbled leather and two leather belt-style straps. It also has a matching leather wrapped handle and chrome hardware. It has three latches (one of the side latches is broken). The interior is lined with green fabric and leather straps as well as a semi-rigid divider with pockets.

CONDITION:
As mentioned above, the exterior leather has a nice aged and weathered patina with scuffs, scratches, marks, etc. There is some crease, corner and edge wear to the leather but there are no holes or major problems with the leather panels. The handle is in good shape and firmly attached. Also as mentioned, one of the side latches is broken so cannot be latched. The other side latch and the center latch still work well and the leather straps are still in good working order though one of them shows some end wear. We found some some spots of rust on the metal hardware. The interior fabric lining is pulling away from the side panels and it has some light stains, marks but no foul odors. This old bag is structurally sound and great for decor/prop duty but would not recommend it for travel.
