UK 10 (US 6) Gorgeous Vintage late 1950s / early 1960s Rose Pink Lace Over Pink buying & Silver Lurex Glitter Evening Maxi Dress

Fab vintage 1960's/late 1950's pink and silver lurex floral patterned lace over lurex maxi dress.

Handmade in the era so totally unique.

This is a really unusual beautiful piece of vintage clothing from the late 1950s/early 60s. It is very feminine and pretty - a really eye-catching and unusual and looks amazing when worn.

The striking fabric is a sparkly silver and pale pink lurex base layer with floral lace overlay in stunning shades of sugar pink. The colours of this dress are stunning and vibrant. The dress has Lurex thread throughout the fabric which gives the dress a glittery effect.

The neckline is a rounded v neck with lace flowers around giving a ruffle effect. Empire line bodice.

There is a zip to the back of the dress.

The dress is maxi in length (ankle length) with a long column style skirt. The dress is sleeveless.

The dress is lined.

This dress is a real statement piece and is very flattering when worn (Fabulous colour and great sparkle) and is a classic retro vintage piece..

Perfect for the Boho/Retro Look. Fabulous for parties and special evenings out.


Condition:

This is a vintage item. The item has been carefully washed and is in overall good vintage condition for its age with light signs of wear.

Specific points to note:

It's a homemade item so not a professional finish on the inside with visible stitching on inside.

There is a small hole in the lining which does not show when worn.

Pit to pit: 18 inches

Chest: 36.5 inches

Empire Waist: 32 1/2 inches

Length: 49 inches

Best fit Uk size 10. There is no stretch to the fabric.

For reference, my lovely assistant "Petula" in the photographs is a UK size 6 to 8. The dress has been lightly clipped to Petula as it was a little too big for her..

Materials:
This piece is made from a thick stretchy polyester fabric with a lace overlay. Lurex in the underdress gives a glittery effect.

Aftercare:
This piece should be gently hand washed in cool water using mild detergent and drip dried. Do not tumble dry. Handle gently and take care with jewellery and rough surfaces. Keep away from fire and open flames.
