The setting is placed atop a unique sterling silver band made of open circles, which manages to be both substantial and delicate and the same time. The stunning stone is a smokey purple at the top, and gradually fades to a grey-green at the bottom. This gorgeous ring is premade in a US size 7, and is ready to ship!

The name "tourmaline" comes from the Sinhalese (Sri Lanka) word "tura mali," which translates as "the stone of mixed colors." Ancient legend says that tourmaline is found in all colors because it buying traveled along a rainbow and gathered all the the rainbow's colors. Tourmalines are said to have the power to enhance understanding, increase self-confidence, amplify psychic energies, and to aid in concentration and communication. They are thought to neutralize negative energies, and dispell fear and grief.
