French Antique Fabric 1880 Embroidered Look Printed Cotton black light buying to Medium Weight Fabric

Simply marvelous! *~*~ This is a lovely panel of French antique fabric, printed with a gorgeous embroidered-look floral pattern! This panel was once a bed curtain , it's seamed at the bottom! ~*~ *~*~ Dating from around 1860-1880 this fabric is a light to medium-weight cotton with a slightly crisp hand and a wonderful slightly crisp drape. The beautiful pinks and neutrals floral print is designed to look like embroidery from a distance - it's a trick of the eye (trompe l'oeil)! The ground of the fabric has a wonderfully aged black , bringing even more eye-catching contrast to the floral design! *~* buying This panel is hand block printed ~ a fabulous quality fabric, but it has not aged well ! MEASUREMENTS: This lovely panel measures approximately 32 inches 85 inches

CONDITION: This fabric is in as-found condition, and is not freshly laundered. *This piece has many small holes dotted here and there ~ the bottom of the panel has a wide tear also ~ ~ this panel should be purchase for small projects , pillows, lampshades or smaller projects OR for backing to hang as one or two panels. IF this panel were backed in black cotton, it would be fabulous for any project! ~*~ Condition reflected in the price ~* ~
