Butterflies flutter along the wayside in this Yellow Brick Road design, where the grass is green and there are fields of flowers around every corner. I sewed it in Alaska in the church basement where my friends and I congregated during the long winter months. This Mississippi girl had a blast with this pattern and it looks complicated. I love the rich colors, because my eyes longed for the beauty of summer flowers in bloom, and this quilt was a remedy for the wintertime blues! I am giving you fodder for your quilt's story, details to use if you give it to your loved one or a friend, or use it as a wedding present. I'd have it professionally machine-quilted , with a butterfly pattern, for fun! The back piece could be a coordinating color and the quilting would show up nicely. Use fluffy batting if you attempt to hand tie it. Tie it in each corner. That should preserve it well for generations to come! It was sewn with 100 % cotton fabrics in a smoke free environment, full of love and friendship, prayer and lots of good vibes. Enjoy!
