This listing is for a hand crafted Christmas carousel. It was made by Alexander of Heather Hills in California. The company no longer exists. I would date this piece to the 1970s or 80s. It is well constructed and painted with skill/precision. Love the addition of the bottle brush trees on the carousel! This carousel does not come with candle holders or candles, leaving these choices up to you. The carousel measures about 13" in height and 12 1/2" across (fully assembled). It is in good vintage condition with no major issues to mention. The original paperwork is included. There are only two small flaws; some of the propeller paddles do not fit tightly in the grooves of the shaft. Per instructions by the maker, this is normal and it is suggested to glue the paddles in permanently. The second minor flaw is some discoloration from fire/soot on the underside of the paddles. buying The carousel will be shipped disassembled.
