Extra Large Lamp buying Base in Turquoise Crackle Glaze

Date: ca. 2nd half 20th century

A large and impressive lamp base with a stunning turquoise colour. The shape and crackle glaze aspect are a nod towards the antique Chinese style. The earthenware lamp is six-sided. The thick outer glaze itself is minutely crackled, but the darker lines of the crackle that stand out have been applied under the clear glaze to give an effect of antique crackling; there are zones where the crackles are not, buying or less, present.

This lamp comes without a lamp shade and so the new owner can select a model perfectly suited to their own stylistic preferences. The wiring has a type C plug (2 pins not grounded) and is currently suited to European voltage (230 volts - 50 Hz). It is functioning. It will be shipped without a light bulb. Upon purchasing the light you accept responsibility for knowing whether it can be used in your country or not and whether you need to change the wiring to suit your local electrical requirements.

NOTE: Please bear in mind that colours/hues may vary somewhat; depiction depends on lighting conditions, background, your screen resolution settings, etc. Especially blues/turquoise are hard to photograph. The turquoise of this lamp is a typical turquoise colour.
