I turned this planter on the potters wheel and sculpted it into the face of a woman. This piece is discounted due to a crack in the mouth that has been patched and painted gold, and a tear drop of glaze flowing from the eye that unintentionally landed on the piece from a cup above it in the kiln.

I find that I develop an even better relationship with buying the plants I care for when they are planted in an art pot like this one. It is especially fun to choose a plant that will grow into an interesting natural hairstyle for the head.
