“Lost In Her Dreams” came after I had found this wonderful photo of a model buying resting. I was going through some of my books and found these great images of farm gear. I thought it would be fun to have this soft, relaxed woman, resting on these large, hard, moving gears. The contrast worked perfectly. This led me to wonder. What was she thinking about? She has a look of dreaming so I decided to emphasize that by adding the boat and bamboo. Again, the contrast of working gears verses relaxed floating on the ocean appealed to me. I also love how the gears represent the wandering of the mind. This was one of those pieces that seemed to tell its own story.
