Every bottle that I buy & sell are acquired through one very reputable company. This company has been vetted through the Better Business Bureau & own an A+ rating which is the buying highest score given out. In the years that I've regularly bought through them, I have yet to experience them selling me a counterfeit or “fake” fragrance. The reason why I sell these bottles without their original retail box is because everything I buy is through a monthly consignment operation that I purchase in bulk quantities (usually 150+ bottles/month). All of the bottles that I buy are available because their packaging was compromised in some (usually extremely minor) way. Examples - the cellophane begins to rip off the box; or if a box is dented/ripped. Once these minor things happen, for presentation purposes the fragrance can no longer be sold at its regular retail price point. I am then able to buy them without their original packaging and sell them on here for a significantly reduced price.
