This original stained glass mosaic panel features a geometric color block image reminiscent of Piet Mondrian modern art paintings.

Each piece of glass has been hand cut and adhered to a base piece of glass, in order to maintain the transparency and color of the stained glass. The mosaic has been permanently mounted into an upcycled solid wood frame ( 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" - measured to outer edge).
Finished with a charcoal-colored grout, the artwork includes mounted eye-hooks and a hanging kit.

Glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaics blend the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted thru it.
The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display.

Most frames used for these artworks are vintage. Subtle imperfections such as scratches/ dings and signs of character may be present.
