Vintage FISHERMAN'S CARVING SET of large knife and fork in fish shaped carved wooden holder with brass fins and buying fittings.

Carved Wooden Fish holder with large Carving Knife and Fork that slot inside. It has brass fins and fastenings that lock the knife and fork into place. It is able to stand on its own as a piece of decoration when not in use.

This set of 2 utensils are used in carving, whether in the kitchen or at table. The knife handle is the tail of the fish. The head is the large 2 pronged fork. Brass hinges hold the carving set in place when slotted into the main body of the fish.

The complete Fish measures: 41 cm (16 inches) in length and is 4 cm (1 1/4 inches) wide at the base fins.
The Knife measures: 30 cm (12 inches) long.
The 2 pronged Fork measures: 25.5 cm (10 inches) long

This is a vintage item from the 1970s. There is some patina of age to the brass and the stainless steel of the knife and fork (see pictures). Both utensils are in good solid and functioning condition. Each has a well worn stamp India on the metal. The slot and lock into place easily.
