Amazing Old Vintage Brass, Leather & Gemstone Mayan or Aztec or ?? Pendant Necklace We have been debating on the symbolism and origin of this piece and have come to the conclusion that it could be a female figure - a fertility goddess or symbol, or it could be a Shaman. Mayan? Aztec? Incan? I was not able to find anything exactly like it and am not certain of origin or age but I do know it is older and very well made - there is a lot of detail in the pendant and all of the links on the chain. Truly an incredible piece of artwork. Necklace is 26" long and pendant measures approximately 4.25" x 2.75" - a large piece that will make a statement where ever you wear it. Center buying cabochon is chrysoprase and the small gemstone chips in the necklace are aventurine. Some signs of age and wear but overall very nice condition. As pictured.
