I acquired a lovely sterling silver pendant - an ornate Victorian style - with beautiful garnet or ruby gemstones, accented with clear stones (these may be crystals or a gemstone such as white topaz - ?) The stones buying are set nicely with an open back which is always an indicator that the piece is fine jewelry. Pendant is marked .925 for sterling silver. The gold accents may be gold plated sterling silver or gold - not indicated. It originally had a bezel which I re-positioned to the side. I attached it to a delicate oxidized sterling silver chain - added a cluster of garnet rounds and Swarovski crystals. On the opposite side - to give the necklace balance (and more color), I added a row of clustered garnets and crystals. It has a decorative pewter toggle clasp. Overall length is 28". This is very pretty necklace - stones, whether ruby or garnet, are a wonderful color. One-of-a-kind!
