Vintage Miss Piggy Coin Bank // Hand - Painted Ceramic buying Porcelain Large Piggy Bank - Retro Muppets Girls Room Decor Very Unique Porcine Bank

Miss Piggy as a “piggy bank” - a large coin bank in the shape of a prettily Painted Miss Piggy. There is a slot for coins on the top of her hat. Miss piggy is wearing a pink hat with purple feathers. She is holding a brilliantly red flower, and wearing a dark purple dress.

This is a home / hand painted vintage project that was very nicely done. Miss Piggy measures about 9 inches high, and about 7.5 inches in diameter at the widest part.

There is no makers mark with regard to the Mold. Some common ones of that day included Atlantic Mold and Holland Mold. The buying only marks on the bottom of this tell us the completer of the project and the year (1984) she completed it. This painting includes darker shadowing, creating a very neat vintage effect.

I would probably be cautious using coins in this piece, given it's vintage status. It may be delicate, although it certainly seems sturdy enough! not every the texture on the bottom of the base in the last picture. There are some scratches in the paint at the bottom, not seen when displaying. See last photo.

There are a few chips out of the paint in several spots. These chips are small, but please be aware of their existence before purchase. Please inspect the photos thoroughly before purchase so you know what to expect, noting that this is a used, vintage item.

Also note how absolutely fabulous she would look on your shelf! So humorous! Great for the Muppets fan in your life!

This coin bank has a black stopper plug that says Made in Taiwan.
