Original buying Rough Preliminary Roy Raymonde Cartoon for Playboy

buying "Pregnant! One helluva fairy godmother you've turned out to be!"

Signed 'Raymonde Rough' in ink and captioned in pencil. Good condition and full colour. Paper shows natural signs of age at corners, especially the lower left and top right which are slightly discoloured & bent.

This is a preliminary rough cartoon sent off to the Editors of Playboy Magazine as part of the selection process on which cartoon illustration would be chosen for publication.

Roy was famous for being a brilliant cartoonist but also for coming up with the captions/ideas behind the cartoon.

Watercolour, Indian Ink on paper. Roy used dip-pen with his art work and plenty of vibrant colours!
