Pigeon, buying 11x14 inches, mounted

"Pigeon" is part of my Birds series, patterned after the appearance buying of aged frescos. I use lightly textured plaster and acrylic gel on quarter-inch wood, then different levels of abrasion to achieve the weathered look of frescos (paint applied to wet plaster) after centuries of exposure. These pieces are unframed, lightweight, with a hanger on the back of the board. Each Bird painting is one-of-a-kind and signed on the back.
