A traditional, well painted English watercolour dating from the late 1890's. An idyllic English landscape with a pair of Swans in the foreground. I like the handling of the paint and the brushwork in the buildings against the backdrop of trees looking somewhat autumnal suggested by the artist's choice of colour palette. In good condition with only the yellowing caused by ageing but not detracting from the image buying whatsoever considering it's 130 odd years since being painted.
