Turquoise, Sterling Silver and Copper buying Feather Dangle Earrings

Mixed metal dangle earrings featuring turquoise, silver and copper. Turquoise from Mexico is shaped into two polished triangles. The stones are mounted with open backs encased in a scalloped copper bezel with sterling silver appointments. Hanging below each earring are two sterling silver and one copper handmade, hand engraved feathers.

- overall length is 70 mm, drop length is 60 mm, width is 22 mm

- ear wires, hanging rings and four feathers are constructed of sterling silver

- bezel and two feathers are constructed of copper

I had cut and polished these two turquoise stones with the intention of using them in a future earring design. They had been lying on my bench for a while and one day I happened to notice them adjacent to a sheet of copper I had acquired for another buying project and was blown away by the combination of rich colors. From there, the idea to construct and add feathers to the design just seemed like a no-brainer.

These earrings would be a fantastic compliment to a variety of casual clothing styles. They were definitely a hoot to make.
