In this center scene two mounted hunters gallop around a tree, near the edge of a precipice as they are in pursuit of two wild stallions (one white, one black) charging off to the left of the view. A river and rugged terrain are visible in the distance. The series consists of romantic scenes of cowboys, or morochucos, as the herdsmen on the plains of the Peruvian Andes are called, chasing and lassoing wild horses.
