Art Deco Revival Sterling, Onyx, Mother of Pearl & Marcasites buying Fancy Necklace, Jeweled Chain

buying This elegant Art Deco Revival necklace has a very fancy centerpiece with wedges of mother of pearl and onyx around a central onyx oval cabochon. The setting is alight with marcasites as is the chain made of navette shaped links with a marcasite in the center of each.

The centerpiece has hinged "wings" on each side of the oval cab. Tiny beaded details add sparkle to the design which is 3" wide and 1" high. The chain's links are fancier that most found with this type of center motif and are stamped with tiny beads and flowers around the marcasites. Even the backs are stamped--an unusual extra feature! Each side chain is 8 1/4" long so total inner circumference with the span across the center is 19 1/2". The box chain has a safety bar lock.

The back of one wing is stamped "925 TH". Condition is excellent!
