Manual printing involves a variation in flats. The print may therefore differ slightly from the photos. This reinforces the uniqueness of the print.

Technical info:
First of all I draw my design on the plate which I manually burn using gouges (tools).
Then I ink the plate with a roll and then I print the linocut by hand using a glass baren (see photo). The baren is also known in France as "frotton". Indeed it is rubbed on the sheet placed on the linoleum plate (matrix) previously engraved and inked by me, which allows to keep only the ink placed on the unducated motifs (engraving of savings size).

This linoleum (from Latin linum and oleum) specific to the artistic field is composed of a mixture of cork powder, flaxseed oil, gum and resin, the whole being compressed on a burlap.

It all starts with one of my sketches, a sudden idea. And after days and days of work... here is a gas mask holding an olive branch. PEACE
