Buying Driftwood and Pearl Necklace on gold filled chain.

Driftwood, Pearls, silk, on 18 inch gold filled chain.

I was fortunate to get a vacation on the beautiful Galiano Island this summer.
I always enjoy hiking and beachcombing their shores, It's so inspiring. While I was there I fell in love with some driftwood and knew buying had to do something with it.
I decided to use pearls to both contrast the beautiful raw texture of the drift wood and as a nod to the ocean the driftwood came from. I knotted the pearls on a silk cord died a tan to match the driftwood.
I Then smoothed away any rough areas and waxed the driftwood.
I continued the pearl detailing asymmetrically up the side of the gold filled chain.
