Description

Product Name: Apparate & Kamerabau Optina IA 35mm viewfinder camera with 4mm buying F2.8 lens and Bodenseewerk Optina shoe-mount rangefinder, tested and working

The Optina IA, the Canadian name for Arette, is a 35mm viewfinder camera made in Germany by Apparate & Kamerabau, introduced in ca. 1956, and produced with many model variations until 1963. The version with a central viewfinder was one of the earliest ca. 1956-1957.

This is a nicely designed and made camera aimed at the lower end of the enthusiast market. It is not a point and shoot – it is necessary to set both shutter speed and aperture and focus the lens.

It is equipped with an Isco-Gottingen Westarmm 45mm F2.8 lens.

It comes with a Bodenseewerk Optina shoe-mount rangefinder in a leather case in very good cosmetic condition.

The camera is in great condition with some usual signs of use. The viewfinder is a little bit dim. It comes with the original leather case. This is a pretty rare camera and even more rare to be bundled with the rangefinder. It's a great gift for a collector or a photographer who likes to experiment with exotic gear. buying
