Antique Hand Puppet. buying Handmade and painted. Original Costume. Nice Condition. 1900-1910

Scarce, intact hand puppet from 1900's or possibly earlier. Operated underneath by a handheld stick buying and slots in his arms for the puppeteer's fingers. He is dressed in a plaid cloth suit coat and matching pants, wooden shoes and white shirt with rhinestone buttons. Hand stitching is evident around the collar and on the clothes. His head is made of solid wood and hand-painted. Former owner in PA mentioned that several of the “cast members” in this puppet troupe were once housed in a small museum in PA. The green cloth that covers the puppeteers hand has been repaired and a small piece of material on his plaid coat is missing, but otherwise, it is in great condition for its age.
