Intaglio engraving, black way.
The print is composed of a matrix of 10 * 10cm.

Ink: black (Charcoal in soft size, oil)
Paper: Hahnemühle 718 300g/m² - Colour: Plain white.

Format 20*20 cm.

Small edition of 9 copies

WITHOUT MARIE LOUISE, WITHOUT FRAME, WITHOUT UNDER GLASS.

As the tests are done one by one by hand, there may be differences in shade, shades, depending on the tests.
The prints are done in my workshop on my buying press by myself.

The engraving, from the design to the final, proof on paper, consists of several stages:
The preparation of the copper plate: polishing of the plate,
the engraving itself, according to the techniques there are different tools (cradle, scrapers, polishers, dry tips, chisels etc.)
Inking, wiping.
Then printing on paper using the press.
We make a proof, then we start again the inking, wiping, printing. This is as many times as you want to get a new test.
