Charming boudoir cap with multiple layers of hand box pleated cotton ruffles. A black silk ribbon with 3 bows at the front and back. The whole is mounted on a wire frame with a net lining. From the 19th century.

49cm inside circumference 19 1/4"

The figured silk ribbon has shattered on the rear bow. There are a few holes mostly hidden but there is some staining, dustiness and signs of wear and tear. I have not cleaned this piece so please do not expect it to be in pristine condition. Nevertheless a charming piece and these days a rare find.
