La Jolie Fleur Ballerina, HTF, French Influence, Articulated, Madame Alexander, Pink Lace Reticule Accessory, Box, Wrist Tag, Paperwork is a more recent doll than most of my shop dolls, included because of the decidedly French costuming she represents. Good condition original box with clear label, nice overall shape and finish. Very minimal lid top imperfections confined to a back dip very close to edge and one corner crease at the back right corner. Neither detracts from overall appearance in any significant way. Restringing was not needed due to proper care/storage. (NOTE: Doll descriptive details in 2nd paragraph). Hair retains original elaborate style and hairnet. Articulated at neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, thighs, knees and all are fully functional. She shows no signs of display. Lace reticule has drawstring top and arrived loose in the doll box with her. It is lovely with everything as new. All garments, undergarments, elastic, trims, as well as slippers and soles are exemplary. Hard to find complete and in this lovely condition. La Jolie Fleur is French for Pretty Flower. and is the perfect name for this engaging doll! Her clear blue eyes, with those little painted side lashes, her demure smile, cheeks dotted with freckles and blushed just so...she is such a pretty picture! Her pulled back hair is uniquely braided, with twin braids where a headband normally rests, merging into the back, braided bun at the nape of her neck. A single sausage curl dangles from the bun's center in a dressier version of a pony tail. A tidy hairstyle for the ballet, yet so beautifully elegant! Boat neck bodice is softened by a bold, textural rickrack edge trim with pink, double picot loops at each dip in the rickrack pattern. The pink, shiny loops resemble tiny flower buds. The trim appears again at drop waist level. Simple puff sleeve bodice has tiny pleats at neckline and at empire waist level, where it joins the large horizontal pleats, a sort of cummerbund, of a rich, rose pink, synthetic taffeta fabric. The pleats culminate in back with metal eyelets for her ribbon lacing closure. Her festive, three tiered skirt begins with the upper festoon in the taffeta fabric. Creamy satin-finish fabric is the second gathered tier and a semi sheer fabric with a light chiffon feel forms the bottom tier, which is generously gathered and supported by four layers of soft honeycomb netting. Enchanting and softly serene, her photos fail to capture her charms in any way that can imitate seeing her in front of you! What is it about some dolls that remind you of someone you know? She is like that for me.

MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.

MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or buying tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
