Buying 50s White Cotton Organdy Eyelet Strapless Dress & Shrug XXS

This 1950s dress is a heart melter! Probably designed for a buying prom/party gown, but oh-so wearable as a wedding gown, the dress is made of fine white cotton organdy. The bodice, upper skirt and shrug jacket have eyelet embroidery, the lower skirt is plain organdy. The dress is lined in white acetate taffeta.

The strapless bodice is ruffled atop the front edge. There is piping at the waist and a side covered metal zipper. The skirt falls princess-y full, from gathers all around. There is scalloping following the petal like lines of the eyelet at the mid-skirt ruffle and around the edges of the little unlined jacket. The short kimono sleeves of the jacket have scalloped turn-up cuffs. I believe the dress was commercially made, but it has no tags. It dates from the 1950s.

Condition: Just dry cleaned and in very good condition by my thinking. The last two squares you will see the issues which include faint marks and spots, and very slight under arm stains. Believe me, none of these spots are very obvious in all the that fullness and loveliness.
