Clifton A. Wheeler Indiana Artist Watercolor on Paper Estate Authenticated! Watercolor and pencil painting on heavy paper by Indiana artist, Clifton A. Wheeler (1883-1953). Believed to be a study sketch for the City Hospital in Indianapolis (now Wishard Hospital) 1914 mural project. It measures buying 12 inches wide by 9 inches tall. The artist's original pencil perspective marks are still visible on the paper. The back has the estate stamp and the number 26 from the artist's daughter, Hilah Wheeler Remaily. There is also a brown spot on the back and is not visible from the front side. This painting was purchased directly from Clifton Wheeler's daughter, Hilah Wheeler Remaily, Hammondsport, NY in 1986.
