1937 John buying James Audubon Plate 220 Boat-Tailed Grackle Print

This lovely print is John James Audubon's plate #220, the boat-tailed grackle. I believe this is an old print of the original etching, but I can't be positive. It is in its original frame, which is character-filled itself and matches beautifully.

The print is colored with age but is in beautiful condition. It is kept under glass to preserve it through the years.

The wood frame has a goldfish tint that is accented with a black stripe. You can see the nails used to assemble the frame at the ends which is a nice feature that attests to its buying age and quality. The frame does have scratches and chips though.

Great for any bird-lover or collector of these timeless Audubon works.
