This is a piece made in an artisanal way by the Mozambican artist Araujo. He is a veteran artist who has a very particular style, using the "djanting" reflects on his works countless small points and details, thus giving a lot of personality to his drawings. Araujo also teaches the batik technique to young people at buying a school in Maputo

BATIK TECHNICAL STEPS:

• Making a batik requires a large dose of sensitivity, technique and patience.
• First with a pen the drawing is drawn on the cotton fabric.
• Later the artist will dye the fabric within the different colors.
• After each dyeing, those areas where you want to preserve the color will be covered with melted wax.
• Finally the wax is removed, first rubbing with your hands and then ironing the fabric between two papers.

→ It is important to know that each piece is unique, no two are ever the same.
