Easy to grow tropical. Does best in a moist soil with lots of organic matter. Experts recommend providing a mossy pole or burlap wrapped post for the plant to climb.
Indoor temp should be between 55 and 80F. Prefers lower light conditions.
Prefers a larger pot. Looser roots produce a taller more robust plant. When root bound growth will slow, consider repotting at this point.
Use a moist and rich organic potting mix. Avoid wet or dry, sandy soils.
Fertilize sparingly. Three times a year. Spread a quality, slow-release fertilizer at least 6 inches from the base of the plant. The heavy salts in cheaper fertilizers can damage roots and may kill the plant.
