Embroidered Silk Panel Chinese 1900s buying Handmade

In the early 20th century, the Chinese began exporting fragments of exquisite 18th/19th century embroidered silk which were bound with brocade into panels of various sizes. This panel is a fine example of exceptionally beautiful needlework from this period. Peony and other flowers and foliage are hand embroidered in silk floss using the satin stitch on deep red silk. This panel measures 12 x 10.5 inches. It is in excellent condition and a wonderful addition to home decor.
