1 very rare plate holder, mat with silver-plated laffe and handle.
Stamped with HA EA FA brand
and buying means Master Atkin Brothers & Co. Sheffield, operating at 169 Matilda Street from 1862 - 1925

This helpful piece rarely appears on the market, because if you have ever gotten hold of one,
you don't want to give it away anymore.

These plate holders are intended for covering the table with hot plates. In the past, of course, the butler did this
but even today it is still nice to put the plate in front of our guests so elegantly.

The condition is very good for the time before 1910, the silvering of the laffe is perfect and shows only a few signs of use.
Beautiful and heavy quality of a good master. Dimensions: length approx. 17 cm and width approx. 6.5 cm
