A delightful Vintage English School Oil on Canvas Board by the Cornish Artist Harry Barden - "Snow delays the Stage". This wonderfully evocative painting measures 16 inches x 12 inches & elegantly framed in an ornate rococo gilt gesso frame with overall measurements being 21 inches x 17 inches. About the Artist: Attributed in the press with the honourable title "Constable of Cornwall" Harry Barden (Henry Bowers) 1922-91 was a buying London artist who fell in love with the light and colour of the Cornish countryside in southwest England. In the same way that Constable did in Suffolk, Barden captured the breathtaking natural environment giving the viewer a real understanding of nature's art and beauty. Barden is a noteable and famous artist that has been shown in numerous galleries across the UK and sold by a variety of auction houses.
