The buying Mini carrier

“The Mini” is designed for the toy and teacup sized pet. It is made out of the same materials and the same process as The Classic, but is much smaller for ease of carrying that mini-sized dog or cat. It measures 10 inches wide, 12 inches long, and 11 inches high. Its door measures 7 inches wide and 8 inches tall. The Mini weighs just over 4 pounds.
Hand made from plywood, natural wood, galvanized steel ware, and vinyl, each of our pet carriers is unique, although they are of a similar design and construction. We begin with beech cabinet grade plywood, white wood, and select white pine, buying which are cut, sanded, joined with glue and brads, sanded and again, and hand finished with multiple coats of polyurethane. The doors use stainless steel hinges attached with stainless steel screws and locknuts, and latched using a spring-loaded latch, which will take a small lock for extra security.
The galvanized steel 1/2 inch by 1 inch wire mesh is strong enough to contain a pet that is much larger than the carrier could possibly hold, and withstand years of heavy use. The edges of the wire mesh are trimmed with vinyl or behind wood trim to prevent the wire from scratching the owner or pet.
The luggage-style handle allows the owner to carry the pet in comfort. The decorative vinyl trim serves a dual purpose of added protection to the owner and pet from the wire edge and adding a distinctive decorative touch. The vinyl trim is secured with nickel coated upholstery tacks. The owner can select the color and pattern of the vinyl that the owner prefers from a variety of colors and patterns.
