ULM - buying Ulmer Hocker nach Max Bill - Original

This Classic design from the Bauhaus was designed by famous Swiss architect and designer Max Bill.
It shines through simplicity and functionality. An excellent manifestation of the motto “form follows function of the Bauhaus movement. It can be used as a stool with two heights, a nightstand, side table, stacked as a bookshelf, or used as a carrier, for example for firewood.

The original production line at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm, Germany was untreated European Spruce with a Beech dowel. This version is oiled for protection and sheen.

It is made to order and will be finished with linseed oil. Linseed oil is a natural product from Sweden, it is food safe and free of any harmful substances. It will leave the piece with a matte sheen that accentuates the wood grain in a very natural way. As the oil penetrates the pores and hardens it renders the surface more scratch resistant and water resistant. Also, it does not seal the pores of the wood and allows it to breathe.

Additionally to the clear oil I am currently offering the piece in four colours: Old Rose, Chrome Oxide Green, Parchment, and Linseed Blue. Please refer to the photos for colour samples.
