BACKGROUND:
I use my own proprietary clown jumpsuit pattern with a little extra roundness through the body, lined ruffles at wrists and ankles, and an integrated neck ruffle. (That's why these costumes are so cute!!) Traditional clown costumes have a litany of proportion problems: legs too short, ruffles too small, minuscule pom poms - I've corrected those problems, as well. I typically sew 18 months to children's size 8, although I have also done a few larger children and adult size costumes. Please contact me about larger sizes. Fabrics are usually 100% cotton or a rayon challis for a silk-y look; these fabrics drape the best and provide a high quality costume that can be washed and worn again and again. It also just looks really classy when quality materials are used. I feel strongly that if we are going to invest in a custom product, it shouldn't be done with poor quality materials. There are a lot of great budget options available on other platforms and in other stores if longevity & quality are not a factor. Also: I'm not enthusiastic about making scary clown costumes.
