Antique copy of "GALLERY OF COMICALITIES" - Embracing Humorous Sketches by the brothers Robert and George Cruikshank. Circa 1870's (there is no date of publication stated); Reeves and Turner; London. Special edition printed on parchment (1st edition in this format). There are a few full-page illustrations at the front, including a portrait of George Cruikshank. The book contains 143 "sketches" in verse with illustrations by the Cruikshank brothers, Robert Seymour, and others.

Condition:
Soiling to the covers and spine; there is a thin, reddish stain along the bottom edge of the back cover; small cloth tear at the top of the spine; sharp corners. Wear to the labels on the front cover and spine. Tight binding with no loose pages. The buying pages are age-toned with some occasional foxing; heavy tanning to the front and rear end papers.
