Soft and buying so sweet ! ~ *~A stunning piece of textile history~*~Hand woven hemp at it's best! This sack too has hand stitched seams up the sides ~ This is a fustian sack, with cotton warp and linen weft ~ Natural and LOVELY Warm toned ground ~ The stripe colors are red and black ( or a VERY VERY dark inky blue ?) ~ This lovely sack dates c 1900 or a bit older ~ This lovely pillow sack is 100% hand-woven and comes from Eastern Europe and dates around the turn of the century. These lovely textiles are found today in dowry chests, having been kept safe for many years~*~ with beautiful decorative stripes . Hand woven textile ~*~ . It is heavy weight, with gorgeous twill weave. This body of this stunning textile is a warm, natural tone ~ *~ ( sack J6)
