Buying 1940s Swimsuit / 40s Swimsuit / 1940s Bathing Suit Playsuit

Such a treasure!

Made in Honlolulu by The Kahala in the 1940's of an oxblood / almost burnt orange rayon (?). This skirted playsuit is a serious treasure, if it were a bit larger, it would be mine! Fitted waist and a blousy bust. Shoulder straps which attach to buttons at the back (looks best crossed). Five adorable buttons down the back. Fitted waist and a flirty skirt over attached panties. The panties feature elastic to the inner sides. A hawaiian floral decal which has faded over time.

Great condition! The structural condition is superb. The fabric has somewhat dulled (the true tone is somewhat in between buying the first four photos and the final image) over time and appearance. And, as stated, the decal has faded. Other than that, the suit looks amazing! The suit has a "swimsuit" scent. This may or may not be removed with a trip to a cleaner.

Fits best on a modern size extra small.
