Black Custom Convertible 3 in 1 asymmetrical cloche - Downton Abbey hat, Miss buying Fisher, Great Gatsby hat

This beautiful convertible cloche may be worn 3 different ways: brim up, brim down or with an asymmetrical brim. On the edges of the brim, a matching braid has been sewn to both the top & bottom and a millinery wire, for shaping, has been threaded within.
This cloche was hand draped on a vintage wood block and trimmed with a complimenting matching braid to convert into a 1920's cloche.
The last picture, the back of the hat, shows a floral fascinator on the side. But I've chosen to include the photo with this listing because it best portrays the back of the hat.
The satin bow has a pin-backing, so that it is removable and you may add your own fascinators, pins or brooches.

How to know your size: start a measuring tape just above your eye brows and circle around the back of your head, making sure that the tape is as straight as possible. (no up or down tilting). Adjust to your comfort, loosely or tightly fitting. Hold the tape in place and check your size. A great fitting hat buying should allow you to engage in your normal daily activities, (running, bending, hugging) without its falling off. It is made of 100% felted wool and offers full coverage for warmth or as a chemo hat.

The inside headband a second millinery wire has been sewn then covered with a grosgrain ribbon.
Please note: you should do this several times to verify accuracy. It may change slightly based upon the location of the tape.
You may also use a ribbon. Then measure the ribbon on a yard stick.
