Jugtown pottery casserole in the buying tobacco spit glaze North Carolina (0875)

Jugtown pottery casserole in the tobacco spit glaze ( it looks like a clear glaze on the raw red clay to me )
Marked on the bottom as shown .

Measurements – 6 1/4 “ high with the lid on , bottom piece is 5 3/4 “ high
                             10 3/4 “ wide diameter 10 7/8 “ wide handle to handle ,
                             lid is 8 7/8 “ wide 1 1/2 " high

condition – very good with some flaws .... flake on the top of the lid mostly glaze , scratches to the body , one small glaze loss / chip there , some junk in the glaze as made , flakes to the bottom edge and bottom edge of the lid , other minor flaws from wear or production but overall a very nice example for a large piece .
