Large Hand Carved and Painted Mayan buying Mask from Mexico. Approximately 17" x 5" x 5". carved from 1/2" wood. Three dimensional set at almost 90 degree angle. Base is a Mayan face wearing a headdress with two inter twined snakes. The upper portion is a Mayan warrior holding a snake while a large red cat sits at his feet. I have had this for many years and it is in great condition. There is a small crack in the wood at the upper green snake's head. This can be seen in the last picture.
